How to tell the difference between a Right & Left hand brake assembly.
There are a few ways to determine whether you need a left or right-hand brake assembly. The smaller brake shoe is always facing forward with the larger in the rear. Or as your look at the electric trailer brake assembly with the magnet at the bottom. The electric brake actuating arm with the magnet attached is connected to a hinge pin near the top of the backing plate. The actuating arm is going to curve around to the left (left hand assembly) or right (right hand assembly).
