Additional Product Information
When to replace the TPR valve? The temperature and pressure relief valve is designed to prevent potential explosions when the pressure gets too high in your RV water heater. It is recommended to test the valve every 6 months, a build up of salt, rust or corrosion can cause the valve to freeze up, making you have to replace it. To test, simply raise and lower the test lever several times, hot water should flow out drainpipe, if not then you will have to replace the valve.
