The updated 50 amp Surge Guard Hardwired Surge Protector monitors shore power continuously and shuts off when it detects a dangerous electrical condition. The big update for the 34560 is the ability to add an optional remote display (sold separately) With this add on you can scroll through 16 detailed fault screens to determine which electrical issues you have encountered. A major problem in today's RV parks is low voltage and when summer hits and the AC gets turned the voltage drops quickly. With the Surge Guard 50 amp unit your protected from low voltage along with many other bad electrical conditions which can damage AC motors, TV's, stereo's and electrical equipment. This 50 amp unit is hardwired permanently in a storage bay of your coach, preventing potential theft and damage from the elements.
