With the blower shroud on the draw fluctuates: low 6.34 to a high of 8.27 during a ten to twenty second test, after the furnace was on for a few minutes (eliminating start up draw readings). Does this drastic fluctuation mean the blower is going? There is no noise or lack of heat on the LP side. However the issue is on the electric side. RV Comfort Systems (CheapHeat) is saying it's likely I am not getting the full 5k watts from the electric coils because the blower is not supplying the required air flow to do so. When air flow is reduced the CheapHeat unit is designed to reduce heat output by shutting down coils units (1800, 3750). As a secondary measure to prevent overheating there is a 200 degree fusible link. I'm my case there is enough air flow for the coil assembly to put 3750 watts through the heating coils. I've looked all over the net for normal amp draw on 233043. The only information I can find is 11 amps. However this is stated as the entire furnace (Suburban SF-42Q manual).

So are my reading low for this model? If not, is the fluctuation normal? I can understand some fluctuation during start up and open/closing doors, windows, vents, or registers. See more »

The 233043 Motor loaded current should be 8.8 (+/- 0.6A) at 12.00VDC. A slight fluctuation could be noted depending on voltage, but with the readings of 6.34 – 8.27 as mentioned I would suggest replacement. Please note, Suburban does not recommend the use of the aftermarket product “CheapHeat” since it modifies the design of the Suburban Furnace and can lead to premature failure of the Motor. Use of this product would void any remaining Suburban warranty on the appliance. ( Per Suburban)

We would require a picture or part number off of the existing thermostat. Also what is the Ac that is runs and ceiling assembly? Is the system ducted or not?

RV Upgrades does not honor 2 year warranty

Per RVupgrades website, this motor has a 2 year warranty. Our furnace fan started running slower than normal, and had it checked out by a mobile tech. He found the red wire leading into the motor was loose, and it was not something he could repair so he said it needed to be replaced. I contacted RVupgrades about how to warranty this defective motor since I was within the 2 year warranty period per the description on their website. I was told I was no longer with warranty, and no other response after that. Even if it was a 1 year warranty, I was less than 30 days out of warranty. So much for customer service.
