A toilet typically consists of several key parts: the tank, bowl, seat, and lid. Inside the tank, you'll find the fill valve, flush valve, flapper, and overflow tube, while the bowl connects to a siphon jet and trapway to facilitate flushing. Additionally, there's a handle or button to initiate the flush.

In most cases RV toilets sit directly above the black water tank, so if you do have a minor clog simply pushing the clog down with a toilet brush or plunger while the toilet valve is open will remedy the problem. Generally these are created when not enough water is used to fill the toilet prior to using it as well as when flushing. This type of clog can lead to a larger problem when it's time to dump the black tank. Clogs from the black tank to the dump valve are much harder to clear as well as clogs in sewer hoses. The best way to limit this issue is to always pre charge the black tank with at least 40% water and toilet chemical mixture which will reduce the risk of clogs during dumping and keep your RV smelling good during your camping stay.

Yes, the seal in an RV toilet can be replaced. It typically involves removing the toilet, accessing the seal, and installing a new one, which can be done with basic tools and a bit of DIY know-how. However, if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, a professional can handle the replacement for you.

A continuously running RV toilet is often caused by a faulty valve or seal, such as the flapper or flush valve seal, which may not be closing properly. Additionally, issues with the water supply line or a malfunctioning float mechanism could also prevent the toilet from stopping once the tank is full.
