The Zamp Solar Battery Temperature Sensor connects to the unit port on 10AW, 15AW or 30A solar charge controllers. When this sensor is connected the unit will optimize the charging performance based off the battery temp detected and provide over-temperature protection. This will tell the battery to adjust the voltage and temperatures to achieve the best battery charge.

Zamp Solar RV Battery Temperature Sensor

We recommend you connect the bare wires end into the back of your charge controller. There will be a spot labeled temp sensor which will house these wires. The other side has ring terminals however we do not recommend you attach directly to the battery terminals as this can cause some inaccurate readings due to the constant fluctuation of voltage. Instead use electrical or duct tape to attach the ring terminal to the side of the battery (in between multiple if you have 2 or more in your battery bank).
