Description Instructions

The Girard GSWH-1M Tankless RV Water Heater works based on the flow of water and the setting of the GMC Dial. The temperature of the hot water coming out of the hot water faucet is determined by the hot water flow; the faster the flow, the cooler the water; the slower the flow, the hotter the water. By adjusting the flow and/or adjusting the GMC Dial, RV’ers can have endless hot water.
  • Instant/Endless Hot Water – An unlimited supply of hot water when you need it.
  • No Recovery Time – There is no tank to run out of hot water so you can shower all day if you want.
  • Energy Efficient – Uses 60% less LP Gas than Storage Tank Model Water Heaters.
  • Induced Draft – Improves combustion, and efficiency. Not affected by high altitudes.
  • Dual BTU Burner – the burner automatically switches from Hi-Flame to Low Flame depending on the temperature of the incoming cold water. A user can manually override to Low if desired.
  • Lightweight – Over 65% lighter (50 – 90 lbs. less) than conventional tank model water heaters.
  • State of the Art Electronic Ignition – No pilot lights or manual burners to keep lighting or adjusting.
  • No Anode Needed – No tank means you never have to worry about corrosion eating away at the tank.
  • No By-Pass Valve Needed – No storage tank to by-pass when winterizing the unit.
  • BTU/HR: 18,000 - 36,000.
  • Fuel: Propane (LP Gas).
  • Inlet Pressure: 11” WCI Min to 14” WCI Max.
  • Manifold Pressure: 10” – 10.5” WCI.
  • Power Input: 12VDC < 3 amp.
  • Water Operating Pressure: 125 PSI Max.
  • Compact – Overall dimensions are 12.5” X 12.5” X 15.5”.
  • Note: Door and Flange assembly are sold separately - Click Here.
  • CSA Approved
  • Limited Two Year Manufacturer Warranty

A state of the art electronic ignition system means no pilot lights or manual burners to keep lighting or adjusting. On page 16 of the manual it states that if you are having failure to light, the unit could be in a lockout condition which can turn the blower off after a 5 minute delay. Recover from "lockout" requires a manual reset by either resetting the thermoplastic demand(turning off the water flow) or turning off the power for a period of 5 seconds and then opening the Hot water faucet. You can find the manual here--> https://www.rvupgradestore.com/v/vspf...

According to the manufacturer, it should work up to 7000. They said you may want to check the gas pressure. They would also need to know if it heats or if it does not fire at all. Tech support would need to know more info., if you would like to contact tech support at Girard. Here is their info. - 1.866.559.1221. Hope this helps.

If you had an authorized RV dealer install the unit, the warranty would have been honored and you would not have had to pay $3k.

Water Damage

Do not expect them to last more then 7 months and they will not stand behind the warranty. The first one had a pipe burst while in use and the second one had 2 leaking pipes inside the unit when? it was installed. Multiple trips to the dealer to fix these units over 3 thousand dollars in repair costs and replacement costs.
