Using a Dry Lube Protectant can prevent the build up of these materials because they produce a firm dry, waxy, protective film that keeps the moving mechanism's clean, rust-free and operating like new. Regular inspection of your seals is necessary to ensure they did not dry out leaving you without protection from the elements. To maintain your seals, clean them often with warm soapy water to remove any debris, use a little bit of Slide Out Rubber Seal and run the mechanism to allow the parts to self lubricate. The proper use of lubricants can help or hurt your RV's moving parts depending on how you use them. Never over grease or lube wheel bearing's, over greasing will force the grease through the rear seal and it then gets into the drum and spreads onto the brakes. You should properly inspect, clean and repack your bearings once a year or every 12,000 miles for added safety while out on the road.
