Finding ways to carry extra cargo can create a variety of solutions. Once such solution is by using a cargo carrier. Maybe you need to
haul additional cargo and there's no more room in your vehicle. Or perhaps you have some gear that needs to be kept separate from the rest of your equipment. Depending on the type of carrier, they can be made to meet the differing needs of the user, whether it is for commercial, professional or recreational use. They can also provide protection from the elements as well as keep your cargo secure. All cargo carriers are made to perform the same basic function, however the features and construction can vary. Three carriers from Let's Go Aero in particular each have different characteristics to suit your needs.
The Gear Cage
AerFoil LowPro is a new offering from RVupgrades. It features a driver's side opening or rear lid opening, depending on the model. Both models can accommodate up to 300 lbs within 20 cubic feet of space. They are weather resistant, and have a durable "Straight Pipe" construction so they can stand up to the stresses of travel. Padlocks can be used with either one, to provide additional security for your stored items.
The low profile means that you'll still be able to see out your rear window, while the Silent Hitch Pin gets rid of rattling noise in the hitch.
If you don't need quite as much space, GearDeck
cargo carriers have the same weight capacity but with 17 cubic feet of room. The telescoping design allows you to have access to the rear of your vehicle without having to remove the cargo carrier. It is particularly useful for transporting and storing portable generators, although it is certainly not restricted to that use. The construction of the carrier distributes the overall weight so it is easier to install or remove. The TwinTube platform for the GearDeck is a GMC Professional Grade award winner, which indicates the overall strength and durability provided for this model. It is available in both a white or black casing.
For those of you
who need a lot of space, the Let's Go Aero GearSpace has a volume of 34 cubic feet. It also features the GMC Professional Grade TwinTube platform, as well as the telescoping construction. It's perfect for RVers who need to transport large items, or need more room for a large amount of items. The lid opens in the center and fold down the sides for easy access to all your gear. Available with a light gray or dark gray casing. Like the GearDeck, it also has two Silent Hitch Pins to keep things quiet. It is also water tight, offering complete protection from the elements, and has a capsule lock for greater security. Installation is made easier with the included LED taillights and license plate holder.
