Description Instructions

The Hughes Autoformer RV2130 30 Amp Voltage Booster has solid state reliability with no moving parts for quality you can count on. Autoformer provides protection from low voltage damage by boosting the park voltage to your RV! "Sense circuit" automatically turns the 10% boost on when the park power is less than 116 volts and turns it off when the park power reaches 118 volts. Built in grounding continuity test offers protection against damage from open ground, open neutral or reverse polarity - if the light isn't on, do not use the power source! Installs into your RV electrical system (with the optional installation kit 55-3982) or plugs into the park's power pole. 30 Amp Autoformer.
  • 30 Amp – 3,600 Watts capacity

  • Made in U.S.A.
Autoformers are designed to stabilize voltage and lower the inefficiency of equipment. When the unit is in Automatic and the park or input voltage is 116 volts or below, the output is 10% over the input. When the input is over 118 volts, the output is 2% over the input.

The Autoformer DOES NOT take power from the park. It does not affect the park or input voltage, or make electricity. What it is doing is changing the voltage – amperage relationship, lowering the amperage and raising the voltage. Since appliances run better on higher voltage, lower amperage, less overall power is used from the park, and better service is enjoyed from your RV An Autoformer running at full output (30 amps) will use 1 amp, but will cause appliances to cycle more often and run cooler.

Item arrived in a well packaged box. I have not had a chance to use it yet. I wish, however, that the security cable would have been longer.

No more worry about damaging my RV A/C

Hooked it up as soon as I got it and it worked perfectly. I have a long wire to my RV port plus the 30' cord that came with the RV. I knew that a heavy load would reduce the voltage sufficiently for the boost mode to kick in. Put a heavy load on it and the booster worked as advertised. Prior to using the booster I couldn't run my A/C and the water heater without reducing the voltage to an A/C damaging voltage. Using the booster the voltage only dropped down to 120VAC with both of those items on line.
