The Atwood 96163 6 gallon electric ignition water heater features a 14 lb. lighter weight over other top brands. Electric heaters are made to run off either an electrical hook up or a generator. LP/Gas heaters feature a 1,400 watt electric heating element, an electric thermostat and an on-off switch. Heaters with heat exchangers transfer energy from your RV's engine-cooling system to the water heater while on the road. It has a high temperature limit switch, thermostat and pressure relief valve. The water heater can be turned on or off from inside your RV by flipping a switch. The extended cold water inlet tube will allow the hot water to last up to 55% longer. It has a heat output of 8,800 BTUs. Includes powder-coated access doors. Cut-out Dimensions: 16"W x 12-1/2"H x 18"D.
